Behind the words
I’m Eliane Luella — a writer here to help you balance soft days and strong goals.
Because you can want big things and still enjoy life’s little moments.
If you’ve been feeling behind, burned out, or stuck in the “shoulds” of life—
You’re not alone. You’re not too late.
You’re allowed to want more while choosing less.
You’re allowed to slow down and still go after your dreams.
You’re allowed to build a life that fits you—not the highlight reel version of someone else.
The pulse that never leaves me
I live about an hour and a half from London—my favourite place. Even from a distance, the city is part of me. Its energy, its rhythm, its soul—it runs through my veins like something I was always meant to return to.
I love slow days filled with books and tea, losing track of time in a gallery or museum, baking something just because it smells good, and dancing around my kitchen to old playlists. I’m also big on setting goals, making things happen, and building the life I’ve always wanted.
I’m happily single, living a life that feels good to me—no waiting for “someday.”
You don’t need to do it all. You just need to do what matters—to you.
The Do Gently Club: Your Soft Start to the Week
Small steps. Big shifts.
You don’t have to choose between rest and results.
My philosophy: balance over burnout
Your dream life isn’t built by hustle — it’s built by calm, clarity, and one small step at a time.
A story I didn’t plan to tell
I never planned to lead anything at eighteen.
But when my mother — a contractor — was hospitalised after giving birth, I had to step in.
One day I was just a teenager. The next, I was managing partners, reviewing contracts, and doing everything I could to keep things moving.
It was overwhelming. I didn’t know what I was doing.
But I showed up — one call, one uncertain meeting at a time — and I figured it out.
What that experience taught me
You don’t need to have it all together.
You just need to keep showing up.
Ask good questions.
Trust yourself — especially when you feel uncertain.
That season gave me a deep understanding of the pressure so many of us carry — the mental load of managing teams, running businesses, working fast-paced jobs, or simply holding a lot at once.
Whether you’re leading a team, juggling freelance clients, running a small business, working as an assistant, or just trying to keep your head above water… this space is for you.
I’m not into hustle culture or chasing someone else’s version of success.
I’m here for slow living with intention, and setting goals that actually feel good to reach.
My approach is rooted in clarity and care — structure that supports your life, not controls it.
This is about building a lifestyle that’s steady, calm, and aligned.
That might look like:
Early mornings that begin slowly — and with tea
Weekly planning that reflects your values
Letting go of perfection and choosing progress
Creating a life that’s flexible, grounded, and real
You can love slow evenings and still want big things for your life.
You can rest and rise.
This isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing more of what matters.
My turning point
Let’s rewind to 2014 — the worst year of my life.
I lost my mother to cancer.
Everything that could go wrong, did.
I was grieving, broken, clinically depressed.
I genuinely believed I was a waste of space.
But somewhere in the darkness, something shifted.
There were nights when loneliness felt like a thick fog. I would put on Beethoven — especially the Eroica Symphony — and somehow, it cracked open a tiny window of light. It made me believe, even for a moment, that my future didn’t have to mirror my present.
Maybe, just maybe, I wasn’t done yet.
Finding my way back to purpose
I discovered Marisa Peer and the power of the mind.
I began to understand that the thoughts we repeat become the beliefs we live by.
And I reconnected with my faith — realizing that everything God creates is sufficient for its purpose.
That included me.
And it includes you.
Tiny shifts, big change
There was no grand transformation.
Just small, quiet changes.
I started meditating, journaling, and speaking gentle truths over myself — morning, day, and night.
I made time for what I loved: Beethoven recitals, books, music, fashion.
I stopped waiting for the perfect time — and made time for what mattered.
And somewhere along the way, I realized:
Slow living doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means doing what matters.
That’s where real motivation is born.
Not from guilt.
Not from hustle.
But from knowing your why — and moving through it with purpose.
Why I wrote The 1% Way
As I healed, I knew I wanted to share what I was learning.
So I wrote The 1% Way based on one simple truth:
You don’t need to change everything to change your life.
You just need to give 1% of your time daily to the Eight Life Pillars.
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about showing up — even when it’s messy.
It’s about finding motivation by reconnecting with meaning.
It’s about using intentional productivity to move toward your dreams without sacrificing your peace.
If you’re here now
Know this:
You’re already on your way.
You don’t need to hustle harder.
You just need to start gently — and keep going with care.
